and this shall be the new portrait

Lots of new huffarts have flooded the internets since my last NEWS so I'm going to get right to it.

~ First, foremost and I guess most recent is the release of THE FACEBREAKER album. My brother Dutch and I have been working on music together for a few years right now under the name THE FACEBREAKER and we've finally released our first album on bandcamp. Along with the digital download you have the option to purchase a small zine-like book I'm making to be a tangible element in this modern digital world. You can read a bit about it in my latest musing HERE. But more importantly you can download it HERE at THEFACEBREAKER.COM.

~ Speaking of music, another little music project called the SINKING SHIP which I play raucussy, piratical themed music is going to make a loose recording on some iphones and field mics and that will be free for download soon.

~ I have been also whiling away at my 53 nudie woodcuts for my forthcoming deck of playing cards. I've got a ways to go still, but you can view the latest prints HERE

~ For Christmas this past year I gave out some of the PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH signs for friends to install. Groana Melendez was the first participant and her installation can be viewed HERE

~ Also, I was contacted recently by the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa. They were inquiring if they could use my woodcut of a cloud for their logo and recently sent me a mockup of their poster where they are using it as well. Here's an image

~ on the non-arts-front, Fiamma and I are in the process of buying a home. A new apartment in Brooklyn, and while it's not tooootally official yet, we are taking all the steps to make it so. I'll keep you privy of that as it progresses.
